Putting a spin on the title of the 2004 film “Supersize Me”, which addressed themes of corporate responsibility in relation to individuals, this show catalog considers the role of individuals in the large project of decolonization. Six Indigenous artists with distinct practices; Sonny Assu, Jordan Bennett, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Nigit’stil Norbert, Barry Pottle, and Bear Witness challenge colonialism and explore ways to reclaim and empower indigenous voices and identities. Exhibited and published in collaboration by the RMG and the Ottawa Art Gallery.
