This catalog captures the dualities of Andil Gosine's 2018 RMG exhibition, All the Flowers. At once lighthearted and dark, it is also both personal and relatable. With the Ixora flower -- native to his ancestral India, now flourishing in his birthplace of Trinidad -- Gosine tells the story of familial transplantation, and a fraught adolescence in Oshawa. With the lively floral motif he stages a complicated exploration of the search for community connection, and optimism in the face of hostility.
